Grape crushers are devices that are used to crush and process the whole grapefruit. The main purpose of these crushers is to enable the fruit to pass into a secondary fermentation container where yeast can be converted it to wine. The crusher breaks down the whole grapefruit into tiny pieces that can be easily ground up in a blender. The blender then turns the pulp into wine or juice. A blender can also make the pulp into juice, which has a better flavor than the original grape pulp. This type of pulp is usually referred to as a grape concentrate.
Grape Crushers
There are two main types of crushers used for grape crushing. One is the roller crusher, which has a rotating drum which is pushed by the force of gravity to crush the fruit. These drums can be manually turned on or automated. A more modern and energy-efficient form of crusher is a rotary crusher, this uses centrifugal force to crush the fruit.
Some Crushers also have other functions as well. Some crush and grind the berries and leaves, as well as some, also have additional functions like making white wines. Other versions may not have a motor but still, a good quality crusher will not only crush but will also grind and extract the juices from the grapes. These are the basic functions of a good grape crusher and there are many more which are available in the market.
