Airbrushes have been around for years but now, they are becoming more popular due to the new advances in technology that are available. With the popularity comes a larger selection of compressors/airbrush, air tools, airbrushes, etc. There are thousands of companies out there making airbrushes and all of them have different options and specialties. Before deciding on an airbrush, it is important to look at your needs and decide what you want it for.
Airbrush Compressors
One common application for an airbrush is modeling. Most companies offer to airbrush kits that can be used with compressors to make a variety of different models. These include models that are made of plastic or metal. Plastic and metal compressors both compress the air through a spray head that is controlled by the user. Spray guns can be used manually to spray models as well.
One of the newer options available is a liquid spray. This type of airbrush is easier to use and does not require any extra plumbing. Instead, all that is needed are standard air tanks and hoses to connect the system to. These are perfect for painting in interior areas that would normally be unattractive with a brush. Some of these systems also have a trigger that can be used to control the amount of spray that is released from the compressor.
